NASA tours provide invaluable experiences to participants in terms of educational nourishment, cultural exposure, as well as beautiful memories of togetherness. We share some experiences from students, as well as from teachers and parents who have observed noticeable changes in the students after returning from NASA tour.
The NASA Tours with Atlantis are a combination of unique travel experiences along with the building of very strong scientific temperament. As Ms. Reema Ailawadi, Principal, G.D. Goenka School, Model town, one of the schools traveling with us for the NASA tour shares, “The students have returned with unmatched experiences of building and programming Robotics. Handling various aspects of the project like team management, meeting deadlines, design and modeling proved to be a very important learning experience for students.”
The Atlantis team has been very professional in their commitments towards all their programs including the NASA tours, at the same time they have always been like a friend traveling along. Principal, the Aryan School, shares, “Students had a very enjoyable journey and at the same time learned a lot. We thank you for the guidance, care and management extended towards the students.” A group of students from Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, enthusiastically share their experience of the NASA tour, “The Journey as the whole can be described as an unforgettable experience. From NASA to New York, Orlando to Washington DC, everything we did and everything we saw was simply breathtaking. Visting KSC was like a dream come true. Half of the things we saw or learned about were unbelievable.”
The visit to the Kennedy Space center during the NASA tour undoubtedly marks the most exciting part of their journey. A student from Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, Bangalore accounts, “Those 12 days were the best days of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was an education cum pleasure trip. Those five days at NASA were simply mind-blowing, building robotic rovers and stuff.”
Approaching learning with a game based approach, Atlantis organized competitions during the NASA tours. Students love the thrill of healthy competition and that helps them sustain the concepts in their minds. A student from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, shares, “Best part of the trip was the lunar surface competition. We learned to program the robot. The days spent at Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World were amazing.” A parent from the same school shares, “The NASA tour (KSC) SpaceTrek programme surely was a lifetime learning experience for my son, who was a part of this 12-day programme.”
We at Atlantis love the appreciation we get in the form of schools traveling with us year after year. Ms. Amita Mishra, Principal, Delhi Public School states in a heartfelt letter, “This letter is to appreciate your laudable effort in promoting Space Education through a variety of programmes that your company offers. We have been traveling with you for the last three years for Space School Programme at Johnson Space Centre, Houston, USA. I would like to put on record the meticulous way in which you and your team handle the programme right from the registration to the culmination. The quality of the program is par excellence.”
